COACH EDUCATION HEADS WEST
HPU Manager Paul Bentvelzen and FNSW Technical Manager Norm Boardman conducted an Elite Coaches Induction Day at Jack Brabham Oval in Orange on Saturday January 31st. Following a revamp of the coaching and development structure within Western Branch, Paul and Norm worked with coaches from Western NSW to introduce fresh ideas which they can use in delivering the Pathway Programs in the area.
Under a pilot system, Western Branch will have Association Head Coaches under the guidance of an Operations and Development Manager (Andrew Fearnley) and an Area Technical Manager (Glenn Stedman). The aim of this structure is to continue to improve player development within Western NSW and also to allow greater interaction with players and coaches at grassroots level.
