The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) is a service-based organisation which supports almost 700 elite athletes both centrally and regionally across NSW. NSWIS has been a principle partner for elite player development for both men and women’s football in NSW for over ten years. Its’ focus has been on assisting players on the cusp of selection in national junior and youth teams. NSWIS specialist services ensure that footballers enrolled in NSWIS programs have access to leading edge coaching and sports technology while also receiving tailored support to help balance their elite sporting commitments with personal development and a career. | |
The NSW Department of Sport and Recreation The NSW Department of Sport and Recreation has been a principle financial partner of Football NSW for over twenty years, assisting footballers across the state through their Sports Development Programs. Their overall purpose is to assist the people of NSW to participate in sport and recreation in order to create a community that uses sport and recreation to improve its well being. From developing the self-esteem of young people to maintaining the health and fitness of senior citizens, and nurturing talented athletes to improving everyone's enjoyment of life, the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation is concerned with the big picture gains of sport and recreation for all communities in NSW. | |

Each FIFA member is also a member of a confederation. FFA is a member of the Asian Football Confederation, having joined that body on 1 January 2006.
